  4. Libspeak is an audio backend hacked onto a very nice public domain english
  5. to phoneme translation program.  Libspeak takes prerecorded phonemes and
  6. writes them to the audio device as the above mentioned translator dictates.

  8. The english to phoneme translation is slightly altered from the one that
  9. was originally distributed.  The improvements are due to Prof. Steve Reiss
  10. (spr@cs.brown.edu).

  12. Libspeak was written (er, hacked) by John Bazik (jsb@cs.brown.edu).

  14. The portion of this code that was written at Brown University is copyrighted,
  15. only because Brown requires me to.
  16.  
  17. None of this has been very thoroughly tested.  But it does seem to work,
  18. after a fashion.
